Beneath the Surface: Exploring the Enigmatic Design of the Guyaju-inspired Restaurant

The restaurant’s design takes inspiration from the ancient Guyaju Caves in Beijing, blending retro vibes with rounded arches and irregular shapes. Grotto-like windows frame views into the interior, reminiscent of Old World Shanghai ballrooms. The space features liquified copper accents, Carrara-colored stucco, and limestone elements, creating a cavernous theme. The seating options include sophisticated banquettes and flexible tables with light fixtures above each seat. A semi-private dining area showcases lantern-like fixtures and plaid flooring, while the VIP dining room exudes luxury with bronze and copper mirrors. Resin artwork adds to the dramatic ambiance.
